Our micro hydro system has worked out well this winter. With almost 8 weeks of operation we have saved close to 4,000 litres of diesel fuel to date. As we gear up for the 2012 season and our preseason fisheries project we will have to switch to our diesel generator since our electrical requirements will be beyond what our micro hydro can produce. Still all in all we are very pleased with what we have been able to do this winter.

Knight Inlet Lodge is looking at other ways we can supplement our hydro requirements including solar and wind options that may be feasible in the very near future. Located in Glendale Cove, Knight Inlet Lodge is Canada’s premier grizzly bear veiwing destination.
